Bright Blue’s next public panel event is titled ‘The Lords work in mysterious ways? A bipartisan case for House of Lords reform.’

Held in partnership with the Sortition Foundation and the Electoral Reform Society, this public panel event, followed by a drinks reception, will explore the role of the House of Lords, its current challenges and opportunities for reform.

  • Simon Hoare MP, Chair, Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Select Committee.
  • Fabian Hamilton MP, former Shadow Minister for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.
  • Baroness Smith of Llanfaes, Plaid Cymru, the youngest member of the House of Lords.
  • Dr Jess Garland, Director of Research and Policy, Electoral Reform Society.
  • James Robertson, Director, Sortition Foundation.
  • Bartek Staniszewski, Senior Research Fellow, Bright Blue (Chair).

Wednesday 27th November, 6:30pm – 7:30pm, followed by a drinks reception until 8:30pm.
