In this episode, we explore whether the Government’s new Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution is sufficient to meet the challenge of the climate crisis. The Government is committed to delivering net zero carbon emissions by 2050, which will require deep decarbonisation across different economic sectors and substantial changes to the way we travel and heat our homes. Most recently, the UK has also vowed to cut emissions by 68% by 2030 based on 1990 levels. Some critics, however, believe faster action is needed. Or, in contrast, that the costs to billpayers and taxpayers is burdensome. With the UK hosting COP26 in Glasgow next year, is the Government’s greenery too little, too late?

Bright Blue TV is hosted by Chief Executive of Bright Blue, Ryan Shorthouse. In this episode he will be joined by former Leader of the Green Party of England and Wales, Baroness Bennett, columnist at The Spectator, The Telegraph and The Mail, Ross Clark, and the Conservative Member of Parliament for Rother Valley, Alexander Stafford MP.
