Carl Cashman is the Leader of the Liberal Democrats in Liverpool and considered a prominent national voice of the party in local government. Speaking on shows such as Jeremy Vine on 5, LBC and ITV about his work in Liverpool and around the UK calling for ‘real’ devolution and powers for local and regional government. Carl also owns his own mortgage brokerage and has worked in financial services for five years, helping people from all backgrounds to achieve their dream of owning their own home.

Carl was raised on a council estate and was the first person in his family to attend University. He believes strongly in the liberal principles of social mobility and social justice.
