David is the CEO of Mathematics Education for Social Mobility and Excellence (MESME), a startup maths education charity looking to reboot the British economy by raising a generation of top mathematicians. He co-founded Oak National Academy, an online school serving children during the Covid-19 pandemic, and was headteacher of Jane Austen College in Norwich. He served as the Senior Policy Advisor to five Secretaries of State for Education, from Nadhim Zahawi to Gillian Keegan.
