Tackling intergenerational inequity at its roots
February 2019
Generation Y (‘millennials’) could be the first generation to experience a lesser quality of life than that of their (‘baby boomer’) parents. Politicians, irrespective of hue, continue to fawn to today’s pensioners and baby boomers, evidenced by the vast, and continuing growth in unfunded promises, notably in respect of pensions. Common sense suggests that the ongoing perpetration of intergenerational injustice, conducted largely by stealth and over long timeframes, cannot continue unchecked.
